Base Location

Base location is how I think about where I operate from, strategically. Not "where I live" as a casual fact. Where I am physically positioned matters because it affects cost, access, speed, and reach.

Why base matters for a builder

A builder's location is part of their operating stack. It affects:

• Which clients and markets are reachable.
• Which time zones the work overlaps with.
• Tax and regulatory surface.
• The talent, community, and cultural environment around the work.
• The pace and seriousness of the default environment.

For someone running Duodode and thinking in terms of scale and leverage, location is not neutral.

My current base

Base as leverage

Picking a base well is a one-time decision with long-running compounding effects. This fits my ROI-driven and strategic lens: low-frequency, high-consequence choices get extra weight.

What it is not

• An aesthetic choice.
• A status location.
