The Lean Startup — Eric Ries

The Lean Startup — Eric Ries

A startup book about building quickly, testing ideas, and learning through feedback.

Essay

What I took from this book was not startup jargon. It was the discipline of learning through reality instead of fantasy. Build something, expose it to the world, see what comes back, and adjust. That loop feels obvious once you understand it, but a lot of people still want to skip it.

I like the book because it gave structure to a method I already respect. It belongs next to Iteration and Feedback Loops for me because it makes one important demand: stop guessing in private for too long. Learn from contact. That principle goes beyond startups. It applies to products, services, writing, and probably most serious work.
