Paid Marketing

Paid Marketing

How I Got Into It

Paid marketing pulled me in because it sits at the point where creative work, business judgment, and reality all meet. Once money is behind the campaign, you stop talking in vague terms very quickly.

The two main surfaces for me have been TikTok Ads and Meta Ads.

The Learning Process

What makes paid marketing difficult is that it punishes loose thinking. You have to care about audience, angle, creative, offer, numbers, and timing at the same time. And if you are careless, the feedback is immediate because the spend is real.

That was a useful education for me. It forced me to care more about outcomes than about whether an idea merely sounded good.

How I Use It Now

I use paid marketing as part of the broader work around Digital Marketing. It is where distribution stops being a theory and becomes a system with numbers attached to it. Good creative matters, which is why work from places like DaVinci Resolve can connect directly to it.

It also fits the way I think inside Duodode, where good work should eventually prove itself in the market, not only in the file.

What It Changed

It made me more practical. Paid marketing has a way of stripping romance out of weak ideas. That is good for me.

It also sharpened my respect for attention. Getting attention is expensive, keeping it is harder, and converting it is where the real work starts.
