The New York Times
The New York Times
The New York Times is one of my regular reading surfaces. I use it for serious journalism, long features, and essays. It sits alongside Substack and Medium as part of a reading habit built around depth rather than feeds.
What it is to me
- A source of serious reporting
- A place for long features and Essays
- A window into global context for my work in Dubai and beyond
- A counterweight to fast, shallow news
How I use it
I do not treat it as a doomscroll. I read selectively. Features, opinion from writers I respect, and long pieces on tech, business, culture, and the Future of Humanity. The goal is informed context, not constant alert.
Why it fits me
I want sharper thinking and better articulation in English. Good long-form journalism is one of the inputs that supports both. It also pairs with my interest in Thoughtful Creators and Long-form Writing.
