Who He Is
Quang Tran is one of my long-term friends, someone I have known since high school and stayed close to through university. He was also the class monitor back then, which fits him. Even early on, he carried a sense of responsibility without making a big show of it.
The Ease of the Friendship
Some friendships work because the humor lines up so well that the rest takes care of itself. Quang Tran is probably the person I share that easiest humor with.
Conversation with him has always felt low-friction. The jokes land fast. The tone stays light. Even when the subject turns serious, there is still some ease in the room.
What I Took From His Attitude
He has a naturally more positive frame than most people I know. I do not mean fake optimism. I mean the ability to think clearly and still keep life from becoming heavier than it has to be.
That stayed with me. So did the fact that he cares about his friends in a way that feels stable and unforced. He belongs in the part of my life tied to What Lasts, because his presence was never confined to one short era.
