Essay
This book fits me because it has very little patience for fake seriousness. I am naturally drawn to work that becomes real quickly and to ideas that survive contact with actual execution. Rework has that same energy. It cuts through bloated business theater and keeps asking the simpler question: did you make something or not.
That is why it lives so close to Execution Over Talk in my head. It strengthened a bias I already had toward action, directness, and smaller teams doing real work instead of performing the image of important work. I do not treat it as gospel, but I do treat it as a useful correction against unnecessary complexity.
