Home
Home
Home for me is not a single address. It is layered between Vietnam, where I grew up, and Dubai, where I currently operate from. The word holds both, not one at the expense of the other.
Two layers
- Vietnam: the origin. The language, family, early context, and cultural baseline.
- Dubai: the current base. Where the work, the life, and the building happen now.
I do not treat one as real home and the other as temporary. They hold different roles. Origin-home and operating-home.
Home as something practical
For a builder, home is also the physical base that supports the work. Quiet enough to think. Connected enough to operate. Positioned well enough to reach clients and markets. That is the practical side of base location.
Home as something identity-level
Home is also part of Identity. It is tied to who I am, where I came from, and how I carry myself. The Asian business culture baseline and the Vietnamese thread are not left behind because I moved. They travel with me.
What I avoid
- Treating home as only sentimental.
- Treating home as only logistical.
- Pretending the move erased the origin.
- Pretending the origin dictates the future.
Connection to my system
Home ties to Vietnam, Dubai, Origin, Base Location, Identity, and Becoming. It is the personal layer of place, underneath the operational layer.
