berlioz
berlioz
One of the artists in my library who represents the calmer, more atmospheric side of my listening taste.
Essay
berlioz fits the side of my music shelf that wants texture without heaviness. The saved tracks alone explain the appeal: "deep in it," "jazz is for ordinary people," "ode to rahsaan," "nyc in 1940," and "joycelyn's dance." Even the titles carry a kind of mood before the songs start.
What makes this artist feel aligned with my taste is the combination of motion and softness. The Spotify reports kept mentioning jazz house and orchestral calm as recurring parts of my bigger listening days, and berlioz sits naturally inside that lane. This is music that can stay in the room for hours without feeling empty or overbearing.
I do not only want music that pushes. I also want music that lets the day breathe while still keeping some elegance and movement in it. berlioz belongs to that function.
