Roshan

Who He Is

Roshan is a tech entrepreneur in Dubai and the founder of Brocrypt. He belongs to my current builder circle, the part of life shaped by coworking sessions, technical problems, movement, and the kind of friendships that form when people are all trying to make something happen at once.

Builder Circle in Dubai

I met him through the same founder environment that introduced me to several other people in the city. My first impression was that he was relaxed and easygoing, but it did not take long to notice the discipline underneath that surface.

He is serious about what he is building. He is also serious about his body, his routines, and the standards he sets for himself. The difference is that he carries all of it lightly.

What Feels Solid About Him

Consistency is the first word that comes to mind with Roshan. He keeps going. Business, fitness, daily effort. None of it feels theatrical.

The second thing is humor. We share a dark sense of humor, which makes time with him easy. He can keep things light without becoming careless.

Then there are the details that make him unmistakably himself. He watches Vietnamese reels. He listens to Vinahouse. None of that is what you would predict from the outside, which is probably why it sticks so clearly in memory.

Shared Rhythm

Our friendship moves between work and motion. We have coworked together, including library sessions, gone Running, played badminton, and spent time with Shaurya and Shifa at Quranic Park, wandering into the caves while trying to track down API keys.

That mix says a lot about the relationship. A little absurd, a little technical, very current, and easy in its own way. It belongs to my Working from Dubai chapter more than any dramatic milestone does.
