Lily is now a brand executive at Unicharm, but the version of her that matters here comes from an earlier work chapter. She was one of the first people I really mentored in a professional setting, and over time she also became a friend outside the narrow frame of work.
Teaching Someone for the First Time
She matters to me because she belongs to one of my first real experiences of explaining things to someone else and feeling the explanation land.
I still remember sitting with her and trying to break down decentralized finance in a way that made sense. That moment stayed with me because it made me more aware of my own thinking. Teaching forces Clarity, and Lily arrived in my life right when I was first discovering that.
The Friendship Outside Work
The relationship did not stay inside Digital Marketing. It widened into conversations about music, films, and TV series, especially the side of American Pop Culture Influence we both recognized easily.
She is emotionally aware in a way that shows through small gestures. Not loud care. Real care.
