UX Thinking
UX Thinking
UX thinking is how Hendrix reasons about the flow, structure, and purpose of a product before anything visual happens. It is the part of design that lives upstream of pixels.
What it means to me
UX is not a department. It is the act of asking what the user is trying to do, what is in the way, and what the shortest honest path is to the outcome. Once those answers are clear, UI Design becomes a translation job.
I do not separate UX from Business Strategy. A flow that does not create a business outcome is a flow that does not matter, no matter how elegant.
How I do it
- Map the real user goal, not the assumed one
- Identify the one thing that has to happen on the page
- Cut everything that is not that one thing
- Test against real content and real edge cases
- Iterate on the friction, not the aesthetic
Why it matters to me
Inside Duodode, UX thinking is the part that keeps design work tied to Business Value. Without it, the agency is just making pretty screens. With it, the agency is shipping systems that perform.
It also mirrors my ROI mindset. UX is the layer where design stops being decoration and starts being leverage.
How it connects
UX thinking feeds UI Design and is enforced by Intentional Design. It is a core part of Design As Leverage. It is the reason I do not see myself as a visual designer alone.
