Opportunity
Opportunity
Opportunity, for me, is not every open door. It is a specific thing: a situation where effort is likely to pay back well, given who I am and what I can do. He filters aggressively.
How I think about opportunities
- Does it compound? See Compounding.
- Does it produce real Leverage?
- Does it fit my Competence or clearly stretch it in a useful direction?
- Does it fit the arc of Duodode or a future venture?
- Does it hold up under ROI-Driven Thinking?
- Is there a real Market behind it?
If most of these are yes, it is worth serious attention. If not, it is noise.
Opportunities I am drawn to
- Entrepreneurship plays that match my Business Orientation
- Client engagements that expose Duodode to sharper problems
- AI Automation work that uses emerging Leverage well
- Ecommerce and Digital Product Work where Taste and Tech compound
What I filter out
- Opportunities that look exciting but require me to become someone I am not
- Short-term plays without Long-term Upside
- Fluff dressed up as opportunity
- Anything that confuses motion for direction
The underlying principle
Opportunity cost is real. Saying yes to one thing is saying no to many others. His default is to say no unless the opportunity clears a high bar.
