High School
High School
Why It Deserves A Page
High school deserves a page because too many important friendships in my life begin there to leave it unnamed. It was one of the first social worlds that kept repeating long enough for character to become visible. You start seeing who is funny, who is steady, who is private, who is loyal, who keeps showing up.
What That Period Built
A lot of the people who still matter to me carry some part of that phase with them. Giang, Quang Tran, Thao Phuong, and Huong Lan all connect back to it in different ways. The details vary, but the underlying structure is the same: classes, routines, jokes, going out, walking home, and the ordinary accumulation that later becomes Friendship.
Why It Lasts
What high school gave me was not only nostalgia. It gave me a baseline for reading people over time. Because the years were repetitive, effort and personality had nowhere to hide for long. That is part of why I still associate the period with Vietnam in such a grounded way.
