One of the most interesting forms of communication is the kind that happens without shared assumptions. No common language, no shared culture, no easy shorthand, just two minds trying to build understanding from almost nothing.
That idea matters to me because it reveals what communication actually is beneath style. It is not only fluency. It is patience, pattern recognition, generosity, and the willingness to keep trying until meaning starts to bridge the gap. When the difference is large enough, communication becomes a form of discovery.
I like this as a worldview idea because it scales beyond language itself. It applies to people from different backgrounds, to friendship, to collaboration, even to reading difficult thinkers. The first task is not self-expression. It is building a bridge strong enough for understanding to cross.
