Web Design

Web Design

Web design is one of Duodode's core offerings and a surface where my Design Philosophy shows up most directly. For me, a website is not a brochure. It is a product, a storefront, and often the first serious test of whether a business knows what it stands for.

What it covers

At Duodode, web design covers:

  • Marketing sites
  • Product and platform sites
  • Landing and campaign pages
  • Design systems that feed into Web Development

Tools: Figma for design, Rive for interactive motion, reference patterns from the broader motion and interaction vocabulary.

The standard

Intentional, timeless, consistent. A site should feel like it belongs to the brand behind it, hold up over time, and stay coherent across every section. No flashy tricks that hurt clarity. No templates dressed up as custom.

Why it is more than visuals

A well-designed site communicates competence before a single word is read. A badly designed site signals the opposite, no matter how strong the underlying company is. I treat web design as part of a company's Business Strategy, not its cosmetics. See Branding.

How it plugs into Duodode

Web design pairs directly with Web Development, often inside the same engagement. It frequently follows Branding and can extend into Application Design when a client needs a product experience, not just a site.

What I avoid

  • Sites that win awards and lose conversions
  • Over-animated pages with nothing to say
  • Templated work that ignores the brand underneath
